What is NRS? We are the federally-designated national communication system (hotline and website) for runaway and homeless youth. Youth and family members parents, siblings, other relatives call at all times to work through problems and to find local help agencies, organizations. Some callers just need someone to talk to, others need help finding a shelter, food, medical assistance, or counseling. Some callers are on the streets, others are struggling with other issues and we work with them to identify options to prevent them from leaving their home, when possible and if appropriate.

Who is Jesus Christ? Is he God? Was He always here? Did He really exist? Can we prove the claims of Jesus as the messiah?  How could he be of the bloodline of David if Mary did not have sex with Joseph? Dive into the knowledge of Jesus both historically and personally!  In this lens we will get straight to the point without all the fluff. I am confident that whether you are a long time churchgoer or just beginning your journey, you will walk away from this page with a greater knowledge and understanding of; who is Jesus? 

I stumbled onto Squidoo.com by accident, what a great accident this has been. I am honored to be a part of the very best social network on the internet. The majority of these lenses are designed to inspire Christians to reach for a new level in becoming kingdom minded and less worldly. While it may seem that I assume everyone is a Christian; that could not be further from the truth. I understand that the Christian movement has not grown in ages in America. My personal mission is to share Jesus Christ by giving the living testimony of my life and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to inspire and convict. Put simply, I am powerless and lowly but the Spirit within me is only limited by how much I get in the way. I am still learning to "walk". w00t is a word used to express joy by the bunches. Look around, go on a w00t word treasure hunt. w00t is everywhere. The Squid staff uses it. I think the president even said it once. What do you w00t about? I just finished this lens-w00t! I am having a baby in a month-w00t! I stayed awake for my narcolepsy test- w00t!

A lensography is a phrase coined by Thefluffanutta. Its a jazzed up version of the Squidoo Bio page consisting of your lenses and more information about you. I came up with this even goofier sounding word by accident, much like coming across Squidoo. A faithography is a lensography that has one or more lenses based on your faith in Christ. No Im not talking about old school bible thumpin burn in hell if you dont wear a tie on Sunday lenses but lenses that reflect or include Jesus Christ or His teachings. If you have a lensography based on faith Please let me know so I can add it here. If you dont have one, then please consider building a Christ based lens then add your lensography here. We truly are the minority here so please dont expect large bumps in lens rank but I believe anytime your put Christ first or in the limelight then you will receive an increase in blessing rank!

On the one hand gun owners can justify owning a gun and in all respects there is nothing wrong with it. Guns are a good way to bond with your child; you can take her hunting or target practice and make a day of it. Many people feel safer with a gun in the house in case of an intruder. On the other hand, guns are deadly objects that have a purpose of killing; accidental or intentional. Anti-gun activists can justify not owning a gun and in all respects there is nothing wrong about feeling that way either. Many children die each year at the hands of a gun that went off accidentally in homes just like yours. What is the happy medium? Knowledge! Whether you are a gun owner or not knowledge can make the difference between life and death. I do own a rifle. I have taught my children the dangers of my hunting rifle and I keep the ammo separate from the gun and hidden. I have used knowledge as a tool to reduce the chance of danger coming to my children. This knowledge came in handy one day when my daughter was playing at another house and a child found a LOADED gun and started playing with it; my daughter knew the dangers and came and got an adult immediately. Praise God! I have been asked by several Christian brothers and sisters why I am so cautious about http://www.MySpace.com. I dont believe having a MySpace page or visiting MySpace is bad so please dont think I am judging you if you have a page. I just want to share in the knowledge that could possibly prevent harm from coming to someone you know some day.

Dr. Howard Hendricks studied 250 men who without a doubt were committed to Jesus Christ in full time ministry. Of the 250 men 246 failed due to sexual immorality. After interviewing the 246 he discovered: None were involved in any kind of accountability group. Each had ceased to invest in daily time of personal prayer, scripture reading and worship. Over 80% of them became sexually involved with another woman as the result of counseling the woman. Without exception, each of the 246 had been convinced that moral failure will never happen to me.

By the time you read this, hordes more are being pasted on blogs and forwarded via email. These hoaxes some consider to be the black plague of the internet. Wasting bandwidth while spreading a pandemic of misinformation! While a cure for aids or the common cold will likely be invented before a solution is presented to this problem, there is something you can do about! A little wisdom will go a long way. These hoaxes usually spin off something that happened in mainstream media and most always tickle your emotions enough to make you want to immediately forward the message so you can save all the women in the parking lots across America! Before you forward that message; slow down-breath-exhale. Do a little research on the same internet that spawned this tidbit of information. There is a tool that you can use to quickly confirm or (most always) rule out the validity of the message. The tool is in the form of a website called Snopes.com. Snopes is ran by Barbara and David P. Mikkelson who dedicate insane amounts of time sniffing out the truth about urban legends, Internet rumors, email forwards. Most of the time you can take the subject line and paste that into the search engine over at Snopes to find out whether or not you and your unknowing sender need to pull the wool down! Occasionally you may need to take out excerpts from the message to search with and on even rarer occasion you may have to google your copied text. Dont feel bad if you have been duped! I know you thought you could trust the source of the message but then again so did they and so on. Its okay, but now that you know, what are you going to do? As much as you may want to reply back with a barrage of insults that will only be hurting someone who was duped just like you were. So instead reply back with a polite message s
